Merry Christmas to the readers of this blog, it’s a little belated despite the timestamp
. I hope you’ve all had a good time over the festive period, hope you all enjoyed your big dinners and that Santa brought you everything you want.
This year I was most eagerly anticipating my dinner, though I think that’s largely down to having a throat infection in the 2 weeks leading up to it, thankfully I was spared the agony of missing out on the greatest of annual lunches with the infection almost completely disappearing on the morning of the big day, a large relief, and I very much enjoyed the dinner, duck with a duck and chicken stock gravy, roast potatoes, mash potatoes, carrots etc… the works, it was only missing Yorkshire Puddings, but it was too much as it was, the gravy being the stand out element – stunning in a word.
I was also lucky enough to receive some cracking presents, Mirror’s Edge, Left 4 Dead and Tomb Raider: Underworld on Xbox360, Cashmere Mafia and Gossip Girl on DVD, The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray, some new 5-a-side boots, Chocolates and a totally badass 12″ Marcus Fenix figurine which is currently standing proud between my monitors on my desk – the detail is really amazing. I also got several other things such as a mug for my tea, rubber mat to stop those nasty Tea rings, and courtesy of Haly over at Halycopter, a FarCry2 Faceplate and 2100 Xbox Live points which I have mentally already spent on the Fallout 3 DLC and then either the Fable 2, Left4Dead or Mirror’s Edge DLC. Brilliant!
All round it was a great christmas, and I managed to get almost all my friends around to see them and it seems that they all had a great day too.
