Once again it’s my Birthday and I must say that I’m starting to get quite good at these as this is my 26th successful attempt in succession.

It’s always quite nice when these things come around, not least because it’s always an excuse to go for a nice meal with a whole bunch of friends at this period of time because it’s also my friend Matthews birthday in 15 days time, so we generally combine them a little later in the month (usually closer to his birthday) when friends have been paid and have more money available to make the meal after the humdrum of Christmas financial woe is past.

Of course, it also doesn’t hurt that I get more pressies! With that I can say that I’ve had a couple of really nice presents already. Off my parents I received a brand new external hard-drive for my PC which has come in helpful as I’ve been running increasingly short on space for getting on 12 months now, so I’ve shifted all my files off my secondary, internal 200gb HDD to the new one which was quick and painless, freeing up 200gb for installing all the games I bought through Steam in the sales but never had the space to install them. I’ve already set 26gb of downloads away with another 15-20gb or so to go, so I’ll be expecting a call from my ISP any time soon…
Another present was a new Samsonite leather wallet which is a little classier than my Man Utd wallet I’ve been sporting for the last few years, and although I will be sad to see it go, it will be a nice upgrade as my last leather wallet I purchased from Las Vegas completely fell apart on me some time ago now.
I’ve also gotten a few new gaming magazines to read, so I’m quite looking forward to flicking through those before I go to sleep at night.

Most disappointingly however was that my order of Bayonetta on the Xbox360 that I bought for myself for my birthday hasn’t turned up a day early, as they usually do, and that’s what I was most looking forward to doing today, but I guess some things aren’t meant to be. I’ll get on with doing something else anyway.

My friends are coming round tonight, so I’m looking forward to catching up with those as I’ve hardly seen them since Christmas went by, so we’ll hopefully have a laugh and catch up on what’s been going on.
