This isn’t the first time I have complained about video game release schedules on here, where I have complained for their sparseness over ling Summer months or their over crowding towards holiday seasons. Last year I stated that we had never had it so good (or bad), but in 2011, from next week onwards we have a schedule far beyond anything I have had in my lifetime, and I feel safe to say, anyone elses.
So, these are the games I want (and certainly won’t be able to afford them all) for the remainder of the year, in alphabetical order.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
Batman: Arkham City
Battlefield 3
Bodycount
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Catherine
Dark Souls
Dead Island

Star Fox 3DS
Street Fighter 3: Third Strike
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The Sims 3: Pets
Trials: Evolution
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception
That’s 39 titles, not including future games on iOS that I will want and several PSN and Xbox Live titles that are yet to be announced.
Furthermore, I have been known to love Collectors Editions, I have already pre-ordered:
Assassins Creed Revelations – Animus Edition
Batman: Arkham City – Collectors Edition
Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Collectors Edition
Forza Motorsport 4 – Collectors Edition
Gears of War 3 – Epic Edition
Gears of War 3 – Limited Edition XBox 360 Console

Rage – Collectors Edition
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Collectors Edition
Uncharted 3 Drakes Deception – Collectors Edition
It’s an incredibly exciting, expensive and no doubt exceptional end to the year, if not an end to the games rush as we get hit by the likes of Mass Effect 3 early on.
I have a confession to make. I’ve never completed Mass Effect. I do own it, in fact, I have owned the Limited Edition of it since its day of release and did play it, and loved it, a lot until in my infinite wisdom, when my friend Lee bought his Xbox360, offered to lend him “any game you like, any at all”, to which he promptly picked Mass Effect, thus ruining my momentum in playing it. He actually took it and in fairness, played it, completed it, and loved it, for over 3 months, so it is a little hard to be overly annoyed because he did love it and it welcomed him into the wonderful world of Xbox360.
