Recently I signed up to a new gaming forum specifically based around the Xbox360 and Achievements after a recommendation from Haly. It looks like it’s in direct comparison to xbox360achievements (x360a) and achieve360points (a360p) and it’s called 360-Hero (x3h), and it has a far better colour scheme than either of the other two, as well as a much friendlier looking community than the bitch fest that was x360a, so I’m hoping it not only turns out to be a better achievement site, but also a top drawer community.
The website is currently down under construction, but the forums are up and active, so please feel free to sign up. If you wish you can add me as a referee as the name “NokkonWud”, though I don’t think I get anything out of it. To get to the forum, click here or click the banner below.

For everyone who didn’t know, I was the owner of a launch day Microsoft Xbox360, and unfortunately on Friday 9th it died. A little tragic as it’s my primary console which I always play, the Wii and Playstation3 don’t get much of a look-in in comparison, so I was a little annoyed. More annoying was the fact that it wasn’t a 3-red light error, which would have resulted in a free fix from Microsoft under their 3 year warranty, it was a 1-red light hardware failure.
Annoyingly, November 9th was the day of the Welsh LAN at Ultra_Extremes hotel in Aberporth. It was a good laugh for a couple of hours, then my console broke. Tragedy. Thankfully McDaniel had brought his American Xbox360 so it allowed me to play 2 US games (College Hoops 2K6 [easy 1000] and MBL 2K6 [zero points]) which was enjoyable. So it wasn’t bad until I got back and was left without a console.
I will openly admit, I did try to make it 3-red light, first by putting it in the oven, but it never worked. It was then put in the oven for a little longer, then thrown straight into the freezer (not actually thrown), where it was left for 15 minutes. It came out and amazingly, booted up, however my suspicions were confirmed that the graphics chip had blown – as I guessed from what ~J~ and JustinWilkins (who killed my console) described it. After a restart it was back to the 1-red light error.
However, a friend came to the rescue who let me use his less than 12 month old reciept and as a result I got it traded within a couple of minutes for a brand-spanking new HDMI Xbox360 Premium. Great. Beever, I owe you

Just thought I’d let you all know what I’ll be reading this week.. The autobiography of one of my biggest heroes…

How fantastic is this going to be!
Gives me something to read on the way to Wales on Friday too. Great

I was having a nightmare with my last one (I couldn’t change stuff I wanted and there was a lack of options) and I guess you could say I’m having a nightmare with this one too, but that’s because there are SO MANY things to change, so please be patient whilst colours, images and links are changed around.
If there is anything you are happy, or more importantly unhappy with, or would like to recommend some better colour combinations, please let me know.
Karl.
Here’s one picture, and probably the least embarassing one of me taken in Amsterdam for you to poke fun at;

I’m so Gangsta

I’ll try and find some more photo’s taken by everyone and get them up in a gallery.
A doberman saved a toddler from a deadly snake by throwing her out of harm’s way as it attacked. The pet hauled the 17-month-old girl up by her nappy and flung her over his shoulder like a rag doll.
As he did so, the snake struck, biting him on the leg.Charlotte Svillicic’s family firmly believe the dog, called Khan, acted deliberately.

They said yesterday he may have been repaying their kindness for rescuing him from an animal shelter.
“He saved her life by risking his own,” said Charlotte’s mother, Catherine.
“From now on, he’s Khan the Wonder Dog.”
The drama happened as 17-month-old Charlotte played in the garden of her home near the Australian city of Cairns when Khan began to bristle.
He had spotted the king brown snake – the world’s third most venomous – about to strike from its hiding place beneath their house.
Mrs Svillicic said yesterday: “Khan was really concentrating and was acting aggressively towards Charlotte-and kept trying to nudge her but it wasn’t working.
“So he grabbed her by the back of the nappy and threw her over his shoulder more than a metre, like she was a rag doll.”
At that point the snake leapt out, Mrs Svillicic added. “Charlotte looked pretty shocked and Khan screamed, like he’d been stabbed.
“I realised he had been trying to get in between her and the snake before he threw her.”
The dog received a shot of anti-venom from a vet and made a full recovery.
